MUMBAI:Suku Murti, Regional Business Director ESP (Entertainment, Sports & Partnerships) for WPP Media, has resigned and is joining Anil Ambani's Reliance ADAG "in a group role".

"Suku", as he is known in industry circles, confirmed to Indian television.com that he had resigned from his position on Wednesday to join Reliance ADAG. He however, would offer no further details except to say that his was a group role that went beyond pure media play.

Suku, who was based out of Singapore and had the whole of the Asia Pacific under his ambit, has held a number of positions within WPP Media, the most well known being that of BroadMind national director.

Suku has "switched sides" often in the span of his career that started in 1986. He has been in ad agencies (JWT, O&M, Lintas); on the client's side (big guns Colgate, Reliance and Hindustan Lever); worked with broadcasters (Ramoji Rao) and multi-faceted organisations (Big B promoted ABCL).
