The quirky world of television is full of stars, starry mood swings, the rat race for the stellar roles and lots more...

Jividha gets a new lease of life
A day or two ago, Zee TV announced Aroona Irani's new serial Tum Bin Jaoon Kahan with lots of fanfare. But seemed like nobody recognized Jividha, the chief protagonist, in the crowd. She is the girl who sank without a race after the silent release of her debut film Yeh Dil Aashiqana (opposite Karan Nath).

Aroona Irani who had co-directed the dud film with her husband Kuku Kohli is helping her out. Apparently, she feels that she owes it to Jividha. There is one change in Jividha, however. Earlier, she spelt her name as Jeevidha. Don't tell me that the Jumaani father-son duo is at it again!

Firdaus Dadi in 'KKR'
If you wake up beyond 11.30 pm on the first four working days of the week to find out whasssup in Kaahin Kissii Roz (KKR), this one is for you.

Firdaus Dadi is making an entry into this Balaji's late-night thriller. How does she fit in? Well, Sudha Chandran aka Ramola Sikand plants her to ensure that Shaina (Mouli Ganguly) does not meet Kuljeet (Yash Tonk). A clear indication that the serial will still go on for sometime at least!

Karishma won't play Big B's daughter
According to industry sources, Karishma Tanna aka Indu of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Thi has refused Raj Kumar Santoshi's offer to play Amitabh Bachchan's daughter in Bollywood flick Khakee. The film stars Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Tusshar Kapoor, Ajay Devgan and Aishwarya Rai.

Tanna's reason? She didn't like Raj Kumar Santoshi one bit! This
chick definitely has a mind of her own...

Masiji has a softie for Aamna?
Nim Sood has been partial towards Aamna Sharrif who plays Kashish in Kahiin To Hoga. All her costumes are simply designer wear. The colour combinations are sexy, the designs take one's breath away.

Simply put: Neighbour's envy, owner's pride. Collars up, Masiji!

Shweta Tiwari in Dheeraj Kumar's film
Shweta Tiwari aka Prerna of Kasautii Zindagii Kay has signed
for Dheeraj Kumar's 3-D Plus flick Abra Ka Dabra. However, she refuses to talk about her role, saying that Dheeraj has instructed her to be absolutely tightlipped about it.

Tanaaz Currim to spoof Aishwarya
Rajan Waghdhare who had earlier directed a number of serials (Shriman Shrimati ) will now make his directorial debut in Bollywood with Bevdadas, a spoof on Devdas produced by Sahara in association with K Sera Sera.

Johny Lever will spoof SRK in the title role and Tanaaz Currim will spoof Ash as Maro. Chandramukhi's spoof actress has not been finalized as yet. Sudha Chandran (aka Ramola Sikand) and Himani Shivpuri will also play pivotal roles.

Sudha Chandran turns positive!
Sudha Chandran has bagged a new serial. Like always, Balaji has given its artiste one more avenue. And hold your breath! The mean, oh-so-mean Sudha will be playing an outright positive role. The serial is Koi Aa Raha Hai Waqt Badalne in Star Plus and the role is that of a fengshui expert.

Ketaki Dave on a high
Ketaki Dave could not mend bridges with Ekta Kapoor when she wanted her back in Kyunki..., but the Arrr-ra lady is helluva charged up playing a character called Amba in Piya Ka Ghar (Zee TV).

"Amba is a 'Dilliwaali' who enters the Piya... saga with an amount of suspense. Not much is known about this woman to begin with. I can't tell you her identity. You'll find out who she really is as the episodes progress," she claims.

Come November 28, and Ketki will be seen as Saif Ali Khan's mother in the Karan Johar-produced Kal Ho Naa Ho (starring Shah Rukh Khan, Preity Zinta). The film is inspired from the Hrishikesh Mukerjee-directed classic Anand (starring Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan).

Well, that's the dope I have right now. Catch me for more next week. Happy Dassera! And please, please, please... stay away from fireworks.
